Transformation by Esther Rosa
This month, InSight Artspace is celebrating a ten-year partnership with Esther Rosa. In this time, she has exhibited her artwork in solo and group shows as well as art fairs throughout the United States and in Europe. After working on abstract paintings, experimenting with other materials like coffee filters, wood, beeswax, and resin, to create sculptures and installations, Rosa is now focusing on paper clay, a mixture that she herself has perfected. Esther Rosa believes in the challenge posed by these materials and gives herself to the difficult task of taming them and letting herself be carried away at the same time by their indomitable personality.
"I create meditative pieces, between the weightless and the intangible, which urge us to embrace the light and the shadows of our lives, all fundamental parts of the whole. Layers to show that we are multi-dimensional; passageways that lead us to our true hearts; blemishes and flaws that offer us the greatest gateway to personal growth," explains Rosa.
Discover more about her quiet, meditative paperwork that invites one to pause, stand still, and reflect on the transformation of individuals through this special "Living with Art" newsletter.

"My work is an inquiry into what we are, what we don't know about ourselves and what we can become."

"My new series, 'Goes around, comes around,' will guide you to a meditative introspection in a world that seems to deny us the possibility to pause. Abandon yourself to travel, to observe, to question the multiple layers with endless nuances that hide new meanings. A journey essentially intimate with answers that come in a whisper."
